Have a Plan

How long have you been on this journey towards success? A long time? Getting anywhere?

Some people dream, hope and strive for success, yet they fail to make significant progress. And if you observe such a person’s life, you may note they are busy people; they exert themselves, working on this and that, nevertheless, many years pass and still their works are not profitable.

As much as you would like to believe otherwise, serendipitous success does not exist. Of course, we have all heard of the illustrious entrepreneur who never had a plan. But I bet if you dig a little deeper (and this is something I can attest to producing incredible results), she merely means she did not write a formal business plan with deadlines, target and goals. And she’ll be swift to reveal that in her mind, she knew what path she would take to take to get to where she is now.

If you dream of a successful life and are yet to make headway despite several arduous years, it’s very much time that you have a plan. You’re going to have to consider what you will do to achieve what you desire with near precision.

Begin to think of the tasks, activities, projects and plans that require your focus. Because when you do that, you’ll find it very difficult and uncomfortable to deviate away from those plans to spend time on random activities; activities, that on the surface, may seem logical but waste your time and hold you back from real success. Furthermore, you’ll be quick to give unprofitable ideas little contemplation, and you will be prompt to reject those worthless projects.

So have a plan; if not written down, construct one in your mind completely. And hold it there until there is fruition in your life. In fact, what you will do is this little exercise that many successful people do. I do it, and it’s been fabulous in helping me manifest incredible breakthroughs. It reminds me of the visualisation or meditating techniques that Tony Robbins performs for about 5 minutes in the morning, I believe it is.

Now, I recommend that you do this at least twice a day-once when you wake up in the morning and again just before you fall asleep at night for as long as it takes to build up the right vision. Five to ten minutes is usually enough. Click here to link to the Tony Robbins documentary I watched a while ago where he explains what he does; very much worth watching. Watch it and discover the mental and physical process he puts into charting a successful day.

But quite simply, you must find a quiet place and visualise precisely the tasks, endeavours and course you will take to get results. Also, see yourself overcoming the challenges of life and being the best version of yourself. Now, I implore you to repeat this exercise several times a day, or as I say, at least twice a day. Once when you wake up in the morning and again just before you fall asleep at night.

And that’s it.
